Our 4-month stay “back East” started when we arrived in Toronto, which was slightly out of the way from our final destination of NYC, but we had never been and it proved to be a great decision! Oh, Canada 🙂 We stayed there for nearly a week before setting off to NYC by way of the iconic Niagara Falls. We stayed in New York for three whole months, during which time we visited Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; Greenwich, Connecticut; and Long Island, New York. After New York it was off to Philadelphia, which was surprisingly enjoyable for us, as we quite enjoyed its rich history…and famous sandwiches.

Despite not really getting the whole “East coast vibe”, there is a lot more history and diversity – something that we very much looked forward to seeing. I’d say we got our money’s worth 🙂
