The West, USA
Salt Lake City, Devil's Tower, Las Cruces, Flagstaff August 2016-February 2017
Updated: March 14, 2017
23 beds, 24 US states and 1 Canadian province, 112+ hours on the road, 190 days, 7310+ miles driven, and countless learned lessons later…
We’ve arrived back at home in Salt Lake City, UT!
It was an amazing 6-month road trip across the United States, where we visited nearly half of the 50 states, including the Western states of Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Arizona. (See our photos of the Eastern states, NYC, Southern states, and Midwestern states.)
Maybe I’m a little biased, but I think the West is best. 🙂 In terms of scenery, I’ve always just loved the red rocks, mountains, and desert that make up this beautiful part of the country. If you love nature and wide openness, the West is where it’s at!
We’re glad to be home…but we can’t get used to it since we’re off in two weeks for a 2-month adventure in Europe!
Original memoir (August 25, 2016):
It’s been a long few days but we’re now settled in Chicago for a few days until the next leg of our drive to Toronto. Don’t know how long it will be until we step foot in the West again, but we’re excited to see what more the US has to offer. For now, we’ll reminisce with some pictures of Devil’s Tower in Wyoming. 🙂
All activities and accommodations were paid for at our own expense.
